Gold Room

This pretty south facing bedroom is on the first floor of the manor house, looking out onto a canopy of lime trees. The room is airy and light filled. Furnished with a large double bed (160m wide) dressed with an embroidered silk bed canopy and antique oak bed-head.
Silk curtains hang at the windows and a comfortable red damask velvet sofa and armchair. The room has the original marble fireplace, brass chandelier and an antique chest of drawers. Ensuite shower room with hanging clothes cupboard. Organic artisanal toiletries (from local soap maker).
Red Room
Red Room - starting from 171 euros per night
This wonderful bedroom is on the first floor of the manor house. A grand velvet four poster bed (160m wide), hung with silk fabrics and curtains dominates the room. Lots of persian rugs cover the floor and the original white marble fireplace is intact. A large sofa and two Louis XVI velvet armchairs provide a spacious seating area. An antique chest of drawers and a large French armoire (wardrobe) dress the room. Ensuite bathroom with bath. The bedroom overlooks the terraced gardens at the back (north facing) and the front courtyard with its majestic lime trees (south side). Private access to a decked terrace overlooking the gardens. Green Room
Green Room - 175 per night
This room was featured in The Homes & Antiques magazine April 2021 issue. It is a stunning and spacious modern bedroom on the first floor of the former barn. It is furnished with a Swedish designer four poster double bed (160m wide) hung with dramatic green striped silk fabrics. A 1970s daybed, in the style of Mies van der Rohe’s MR Chaise sits by the window. The window and alcove are hung with thick dark green velvet curtains. Designer modern chest of drawers and antique hanging clothes cupboard. The bedroom connects with the bathroom suite through a striking arch giving a view of an original antique cast iron roll top bath. There is a separate toilet. The long window overlooks the terraced gardens and ponds. This is one of the best rooms to enjoy the dawn chorus and the symphony of the frogs. Organic artisanal toiletries from local soap maker.
Blue Room
Blue Room: 155 per night
Located on the first floor of the former barn, this room has a wonderful ambiance. It has a fabulous Juliette balcony that overlooks the mulberry tree with views onto the topiary and checkered gardens (west facing). It boasts a lovely antique barley corn King size four poster bed (180cm). The walls are painted a dark Prussian blue colour and are hung with lots of artwork.
The eye-catching bed and the windows are hung with rich toile de Jouy and velvet fabrics. A large mirrored armoire and an antique barleycorn chest of drawers furnish the room. There is a pretty crystal chandelier and sconces for lighting. This bedroom has a modern ensuite shower and toilet. Organic artisanal toiletries from local soap maker.
Ochre room

Light and comfortable, this bedroom has a large double bed (160m wide) with antique Kashmiri carved wood bedhead. Velvet and silk curtains, persian rugs throughout. A rich red sofa and a chinese chest of drawers. Ensuite shower room with hanging clothes cupboard.
The room is decorated a rich ochre colour and hung with fabulous artwork. The bedroom has a Juliette balcony that overlooks the David Austin rose pergolas. You can admire the terraced gardens that stretch down towards the Loire valley and onto the meadows beyond and particularly enjoy the dawn chorus and the symphony of the frogs. Garden View
Garden Room- 125 per night
Comfortable and luminous, this room up an old staircase on the second floor and overlooks the gardens and the valley of the Loire. It boasts the best views of the house.
A very pretty double bed, with an opulent silk bedhead and canopy faces the window. The room is furnished with an antique chest of drawers, and oak desk, a regal striped velvet Louis XVI armchair. The room has retained its original tommette (terracotta) floors and exposed roof beams. Spacious and luminous ensuite shower room.
